The Republican Party needs to reinstate that feeling that they are the party of bankers, judges, businessmen, conservative staid lawyering types. Until then, the Republicans are getter further and further marginalized on the strident far-right fringe. Nobody but the Dems are standing up to them. Moderate Republicans are hiding in the bushes.
The soccer Moms, young voters, immigrants, people of color, Hispanics, the non-religious are not gonna vote Republican. Looks like Rush has become the voice of the Republican Party? Maybe he needs a muzzle.

Ron Paul = anti theft (government taxes in excess/unconstitutional are THEFT), pro-life, allow people to protect themselfes (gun rights). Basic stuff, and these are values people should teach their kids to believe.
He has been to a tea party before and he has studied Somalia, so he doesn’t really need to listen to Ron Paul.

yes I am serious about my answer…every person on earth wants the same thing…the freedom to make their own decisions and opinions…if you demand that they partake in your views, I think you are missing the big picture here…you don’t teach your kids values by demanding they follow your path…give them some credit and let them choose their own path…you can certainly make suggestions.

I have four kids. It’s crazy enough as it is. If my wife and I gave them free reign to do whatever they wanted to, it would be total chaos. How often do you think they would get showers, go to bed on time, etc? Good parents bring up their children the best way they know how. The children generally learn and develop their beliefs somewhat based on their parents’ behavior and example they set. Eventually the children will grow older and start to think more for themselves, but you can’t just cut them loose from day one. Our role as parents is to help guide them as well as protect them.
We non-liberals aren’t all bad Furnished. I still say if I ever move back out west and roll thru Roswell, we can meet and I’m pretty sure we’ll get along and I won’t scare you to death.

You know the country is pulled really far right. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being most conservative and 10 being most liberal) the whole country is a 3. The issues that you guys are saying are socialism are really pretty right winged in the spectrum of things. We are so far right the liberals have to move left to me middle. The views that everybody calls left are really center. We have people exposing the right and the middle. There is nobody talking about left wing ideas.
The things that are called left wing (healthcare for everybody, fair voting rights, education for the next generation, fair employment, financial safety nets for aged and infirmed, safety and security provided by police) are all middle positions. Everybody wants that.
Left wing ideas (reparations for slavery, proportional voting, wealth caps, universal college access, redistribution of resources) have no real people saying we should do them.
There are always nuts saying that views from the left should be done but none of them are in real positions to do any of them.
On the right these ideas (concentration and expulsion of people, laissez-faire business relationships, isolationism, tax reduction) are openly exposed by no less than the political leadership of the Republican party.
So I guess G.M. motors(before Obama became CEO) was only for stupid people too since they were a sponser.And Lifelock,Zicam??I still find it UNBELEIVABLE that any of you would be rooting for the tax/spend team that has a target on your head.And you think we’re uneducated?? :rolleyes
