No, it doesn’t mean drilling stops forever and it doesn’t mean that the equipment now in the gulf can be confirmed safe. In fact, it won’t be staying in the Gulf. Those rigs have big price tags and if there isn’t work in the Gulf at least the next 6 months, those rigs are MOVING to somwhere that there is work. Conservatively, it could be several years before they come back. Once again, you simply don’t know the facts.

RIDICULOUS! He didn’t send $2 Billion to secure more oil. He sent a payoff to his socialist buddy Soros. Soros not drilling in Brazil or elsewhere won’t cause the black stuff to “stop”.
So let me get this right…you think the big oil companies are going to pick up and leave ESTABLISHED, WORKING wells because they can’t drill for 6 months. They’re simply going to abandon their investment…right. If they were smart they would look at the wells and show proof that the BP incident can’t happen at their well, then the moratorium could be lifted earlier.

I just saw that news story the other day about the floating wells getting moved elsewhere if they weren’t getting used.
The example is if you have a house that is empty. If for some reason it can’t be leased to some family until 6 months from now, you are not going to hold the house you are going to lease it to whom ever you can get in it.
This is like the rig is not going to sit there it is going to be used where it can be productive. Just like you are not going to just lease it for 6 months throw out that family and let that first family move in, they are not going to bring that rig back after 6 months.
Just so anyone who thinks that these rigs will sit idle for 6months,you’re wrong.Companies are bidding now with the rig companies.The rig lease business WILL move them to where the money is,and it WILL cost thousands of jobs.This area is REALLY struggling enough!!

The other oil rigs are on full safty alert and will spare no expense to avoid being the next BP,without BIG GOVT telling them to do so.Nothing like grim reality to make you alert,right?
