Real Estate Gurus to Avoid!

Awwwww doubleup…you drank the $20,000 Kool-Aid!

Actually, that’s what changed your life.

“From my understanding of your posts, it’s important for the people on here to get real products, and it’s also important for some of you to not get screwed by others, it sounds like money, is also important.”

Make a so-called Guru prove themselves!!!

Ask for the addresses of all the properties they currently own & have owned in the past.

Do the research & see if they’ve really owned those properties at any given time (it’s not that difficult).

Self promoted Guru’s don’t have to have a license & more than a handful are nothing more than frauds.

If they seem confused on who pays Agents commissions…call your states department of licensing (real estate division) and ask “who typically pays agents commissions in a transaction…the buyer or seller?”

Then ask yourself…if they’re wrong about this simple fact…what else are they wrong about or misleading me about ???

-Infowell

Yes, that’s who to call, the same folks who tell the agents what to say when someone asks them “who pays the commission?”

I wonder if an agent tells the truth this same (real estate commission) will take the agents license away for saying the “buyer” does?

Come to think of it why not call the Jim Jones school of real estate, remember he told his followers to, “drink the Kool Aid.” They did because they believed his virus of the mind teachings also.

Is it really $16,000 for Nouveau Riches education? WOW! I also read that half of that goes to the agent signing up the newbie. Is that true?

Mike

Here we go again, another new batch of NR victims trying to add to the pyramid. LOL.

By the way, I have no need to check out NR, we have already seen the song and dance enough in here to have it memorized.

See, Tony…I told you that the more seasoned folks here understand perfectly!

Keith

You can stop with the name-calling in the Forums or we can address it for you – please choose now. I already removed one from this thread, and now you post another.

Statements like, “If you don’t have the guts to check out Nouveau Riche for yourself, you might as well just give somebody else all the money and assets you have and ever will have to your name.”…WOW! Talk about drinking Kool-Aid! Are you ever brainwashed! What an absolutely ignorant statement. Just another instance of the NR advertising/recruiting crap.

You’re new…we’re not. We deal with this daily on a level that you can’t even fathom…we didn’t fall off of the turnip truck this morning. We know where this goes when it’s left unattended. If you don’t know what happens, go to the forums at www.landlord.com. They had to close theirs down because they became a free-for-all foodfight.

doubleup-

Your obvious a victim of brainwash. We don’t expect you to realize or understand that, how could you? Your cult members appear and disappear “just like that” which is how we are all acutely aware of the facts surrounding NR. Calling people “stupid” because they won’t drink $16,000 Kool-Aid is name calling. Identifying a psychological disorder is not.

Here are some of the many brainwashing techniques used by the pro’s:

  • Peer Pressure
  • Rejection of old values
  • Disinhibition
  • Verbal Abuse
  • Financial Commitment
  • Finger Pointing
  • Fear, Guilt
  • Confusing Doctrine

All of those you have either used unconsciously or have been used against you via the NR cult.

I like the message reoconsultants gives (run your business like a it’s your business). I also happen to agree with it. If you are swindled by a real estate ‘guru’ then shame on you. I purchased the most up to date Carlton Sheets package on ebay for a whopping $40. Why did I get such a good deal? Because I consider real estate a business from the very beginning. Like any business person I’m going to try and invest as little of my money and time possible to make the maximum return I can.

If you think for one moment that a course is going to teach every little detail about how to do any kind of transaction you are sadly mistaken. Be a business person and always keep in mind ‘buy low and sell high’. It’s just that simple.

Did I learn a thing or two from Carlton Sheets… sure I did. Was it worth over $100… nope. But I didn’t pay $100, I paid $40 and it was worth every penny.

Do I think David Lindahl’s course is worth $600? I don’t know. But I’ll front the money to try it out. I call my credit card company and ask them to give me a 60 day grace period so I won’t pay any interest on the purchase. Then I’ll try the course out. I figure I should know with dilligent effort whether his course is for me or not within 45 days. In other words, is it going to make me more money than I paid for it. If it isn’t I’ll return it and it won’t cost me anything except the shipping.

See how you can get creative running YOUR business. You should always try and protect yourself in business. If you can’t protect yourself from the gurus trying to sell you information you may want to consider packing up and trying something else… the real estate pros are going to eat you up for breakfast.

Okay, sorry not trying to throw to much negativity out there. I just don’t think we should really be that concerned with whether or not the courses are worthwhile… most have no risk at all and even better a lot can be found on the internet for ridiculous savings off the retail price. Besides their worth is an entirely subjective opinion. There’s no way of knowning if it’s worth it unless you try it for yourself. For all you know, there may be one piece of information that is worth the price to you… but maybe I already knew that info so it’s not worth it to me.

BTW… if you’re in business and pay retail for anything related, you need to reconsider how you make purchases. i.e. - if you’re buying materials to fix up properties at retail instead of contractor’s prices. Do your best to buy your courses at wholesale prices rather than retail prices.

Hope this helps all that read it put it in perspective.

Listen,
This will be my last post here. People and the moderators here are obviously threatened by my posts, they keep disappearing, not even giving people a chance to hear somebody else’s opinion or approach. Who’s doing the brainwashing here?
Shame on me for working a system? I laugh in your face. This is a community of investors looking for people to train and develop with a strong work ethic. If you can’t see that, shame on you. Over time, the truth comes out. When any of you see that,

farewell and goodbye

Are you sure you don’t want to stay for the going away party?

Actually, he didn’t like that he had to follow the same rules as everyone else (I even had to modify his last post because that, too, violated two separate Forum Rules…) and no one was buying his Kool-Aid…

Keith

I cant agree with that site 100%. I have chuck smiths course, and its just fine. $900 is a little steep, but it does have contracts, audio, and explanations of every major money making aspect of real estate, as far as I can see.

I agree with jeff. The problem lies in the user many of the times.

Let’s just see:

$Cash$ - are you threatened by doubleup’s posts?

reoconsultant - are you threatened by doubleup’s posts?

Are any other member’s threatened by doubleup’s posts?

I certainly am not threatened by his posts…if you want a “Kool-Aid smile”, be my guest just don’t come around trying to sell one to everybody else here.

I am offended by his posts because of the constant upselling and name-calling that I had to keep editing. When I told him to stop, he didn’t and I just deleted further offenses completely rather than waste my time trying to edit out the non-sense and then have the rest of his text make any kind of sense…

Keith,

I was not threatened by doubleup’s posts, in fact I think that he’s GREAT. As you may remember, a couple of weeks ago I thought that I was on the verge of untold riches. I saw an early morning TV infomercial and was promised that for only $39 I could have vast riches without any work (well maybe 15 or 20 minutes a day - just like my exercise program). For that $39, I was going to receive the “SECRET” to real estate riches and I was going to get a new guru buddy. I’m sad to say that it didn’t work out. I’m still not filthy rich; still don’t have the “SECRET”; still no “guru buddy”; and the boat company cancelled my new yacht because I didn’t have the downpayment :'(.

Thanks to doubleup, I know what I did wrong! It was foolish to think that I could become rich for only $39. I now know that it takes a full $16,000 to become rich beyond my wildest dreams. I don’t actually have $16,000, but I’m maxxing out my credit cards and doing a few of those payday loans to get the money. My wife and my parents think I’m foolish and have called me a Kool-aid drinker, but I realize they are just emitting negative karma. Now that I see the truth, I’m determined to pay my $16,000 so that I can become rich, rich, rich!!! I know that you folks on this list are smart people and will eventually see the light! Maybe I can lead you to riches after you see that my $16,000 will make me wealthy beyond my wildest dreams.

Thank you Doubleup - my check’s in the mail!

Gratefully,

Mike

P.S. I know many of you think that DoubleUp is only in it for the $8,000 commission. I don’t believe it. I think that he truly has my best interest at heart.

Keith,

Just added the NR folks to the “KA” List so that is my answer.

I would think that for $16K they would have a class on “Class” when promoting the MLM way of doing things on discussion boards.

John $Cash$ Locke

But are you THREATENED?? What if he gets all of the Real Estate?

What if the “Hokey-Pokey” is what it’s all about?

Usually, they tag-team…Stoolie #1 asks about NR and Stoolie #2 sings their praises. They must have gotten a new text book (For $17K, they should get a new edition every class just like real universities!)…

Keith

Keith,

You’re killing me here! Did the price really go up to $17,000? Now I’m hosed. Even with all my credit cards maxxed out and eight payday loans, I could only get $16,000. Maybe getting rich isn’t for me!!!

Mike

It’s the cost of doing business Mike…and it’s “university” so for one more year you can take a deduction for “lifetime learning credits”…

I can front you the money, Mike…afterall, what’s a few bucks between Kool-Aid friends…besides, you might still find “the secret” and get the $2M before Monday!
