Anyone herd of it? Anyone know what it is?
Not quite what I was looking for.
I am talking about the Real Estate “University” known by the same name.
I know where this one is going… :
Yep - that time of the month.
These days are just flying by.
Yup…they’re a real estate cult that keeps spamming my email account. Blech. >:(
Do I EVEN need to say anything??!??
Run Blumpie, run…before the entire cost (before tax) is a numberr that you can’t EVEN fathom…did they mention the $20K or so that they’re gonna skin you for or the Ponzi scheme that you need to join to get any of your money back…?
Keith
Blumpie,
NR often sends “newbies” here to “ask questions” and then follow it up with another newbie that has all kinds of good things to say. I myself asked this question earlier, and got the same suspiscion, so I’ll give you the benifit of the doubt and at least point out the search function at the top of the page. Search for nouve riche and you will get a feel for what people here think.
Luck,
DB
In Response To The Following Post By The Moderator:
<<I attended a meeting and I was immediately turned off by the network marketing aspect of the company. They promoted the network marketing and getting others to sign up and pay the tuition for 90% of the meeting. But, I can’t personally say I have worked with them.>>
You mean like their members’ posts in this thread??
Do NOT upsell the NR “Kool-Aid” in the Discussion Forums…I guarantee it will NOT be tolerated!
Go back and do a thread search for previous posts regarding this organization…it’s all there except that which was removed because of the constant “sell, sell, sell…” of their business model.
http://www.reiclub.com/forums/index.php?board=;action=search
We that spend any amount of time here can tell when they’ve turned loose a new flock of convertees…we spend significant amounts of time deleting and/or editing their posts that violate the Forum post rules. So, take this as a warning and take the sales pitch and the networking elsewhere.
I would urge others that are approached/contacted by the Nouveau Riche (or any similar organization) via PM or e-mail obtained from your profile on this site and are offended by it, to please contact any of the Moderators or the site Administrator. The intent of this site is NOT to provide fertile soil for MLM, Ponzi schemes, or other networking…

Am I to assume that if you have something good to say about any particular company, that a person should keep it to themselves?
First of all I am not here to sell anything…
But when someone asks a question regarding their experience with anything, it would seem that they are looking for an honest opinion good or bad.
The impression I am getting from the moderator is that if you believe a company or product is a scam then feel free to say anything you want.
If your opinion is on the positive side then…
As seen above. (I guarantee it will NOT be tolerated!)
I signed up to get quality info on real estate investing from those who are actively doing it.
I honestly hope the negitive thinking is not shared by everyone on this site.
One other thing I think should be mentioned.
If a person goes looking for something regardless of it being negitive or positive, they will find what they are looking for…
You Become What You Think About All Day Long.
If you think in positive terms you will get postive results.
If you think in negitive terms you will get negitive results.
It’s a law of nature. Just like the law of gravity, if you jump off a building you will invariably go down.
In my opinion if you are looking for direction when making a decision.
Ask questions that apply to your situation not the experience of someone else.
Weigh the risks and the benifits you will recieve and make an informed decision.
Look at it just like a Real Estate deal;
Don’t ask how much it costs, ask how much I will earn, and how can I get the resources to make it happen.
By the time you have done this the answer will be crystal clear.

You’re not a kool-aid drinker, are you?
If 20 people tell you that something is a scam, I’M LISTENING!

Sounds like someone has been drinking the Koolaid.
WOW,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cult_checklist
Tell me if NR doesn’t meet several of the criteria of a cult. It’s no surprise that you feel positively about NR after losing your money to them, everyone who takes the “courses” feels great. That feeling has nothing to do with the quality of course content, just part of the game to make you feel good about paying them thousands of dollars. That leaves you making ignorant decisions like “Don’t ask how much it costs, ask how much I will earn.” I’m sure the recruiter who you paid thousands of dollars to said the same thing. Every NR recruiter that comes here says they aren’t selling anything rather, informing everyone of their terrific experiences (with no hesitation to sign them up and collect their check). The only education you gain from NR that you don’t from reading very basic Rich Dad books is a course titled something like “How to recruit a bigger fool”.
After you find that NR meets the criteria for being a cult. Do some research on “deprogramming”, “brainwash”, “thought reform”, “coercive persuasion”, and “mind control”. I have a feeling you will find that many of those techniques were applied to you. You can also look up some of the religion based techniques and understand the principles translate exactly to the economic based techniques they used on you.
Don’t start pouring the Kool-Aid just yet…
For the buy-in cost of the NR scam I can get myself a nice down payment on a duplex in a nice town and learn HANDS-ON. I’d rather cut my wrists than pay that much for a course. I am learning what I can here and from books then its off to the real world. No multi-thousand dollar courses or expensive mentoring. Hell I’m even buying Carleton Sheets off Ebay, why pay $500 when I can get it for $10-30 from someone that bought it and never used it. In about 3 hrs I should be winning my bid if I don’t get outbid. Anyone buying into the NR scam is definitely delusional.
Loook, “WOW” you’re a 2-post newbie…I didn’t fall off the turnip truck and into this forum yesterday, nor did the other Moderators. Scam or not, NR actively targets Real Estate Investment sites to infilltrate in an attempt to solicit more members. We have had dozens and dozens here and you all do the same thing - same tactics, same constant upsell. We have several posters here (like “wallacehobbs”, etc.) that took the corrections well, modified their behavior in the Forums, and are productive members here…
My recommendation to you is: (1) Post intelligent information to help/educate others, (2) Ask questions designed to get the information you desire to make you a better/more knowledgeable investor, (3) Advertise yourself or your ‘program’ in the advertising area, or (4) Go find another Forum that will tolerate your advertising…'cause this ain’t it.
We’ve seen what we believe to be the majority of your “playbook” of advertising in Forums…those that have come before you have largely ruined it for you. We can sniff you out a mile away…that’s why Rich_in_CT said, “I know where this one is going…”. We have a very low “threshold of pain” for the NR cult-o-babble. We know how you advertise and we know why you advertise…just don’t do it and everything will be “jake”…

This is the email that I got with my comments:
Hello,And you somehow thought that made it okay to spam me?I got your email address off the discussion forum reiclub.com.
Thought you might be interested in expanding your business to the next level.Oh, please. If you can actually tell me what level I'm at, I'll give you a gold star.
I work with a company called Nouveau Riche. Based out of Scottsdale, AZ, Nouveau Riche has emerged as the premier real estate investment education and training company because they have gathered current investing experts in all different disciplines from all over the nation into one company, providing the best education, coaching, and mentoring in the industry. In addition to the education, they have developed a process for buying properties and providing them exclusively to the Nouveau Riche investors. They also have generated one of the largest communities of the largest communities of like-minded investors currently at around 6000 members nationwide and on track to reach 20,000 by this time next summer.Again with my level. Join the cult. Join the cult. What are you looking for, or what are you looking to do to take you to the next level?
Would you agree with me that the biggest differences between people that are successful and those that are not is what they put in their mind and then what they chose to do with it.So, do you have any idea what's in my mind and what I have chosen to do with it?
We have found that all successful investors that we work with have THREE common ingredients.Probably, and when I do that, the check will be written to Bruce Norris. But, personally, I’d rather take that $16,000 and put into a house. I can do an entire lipstick house with $16,000. How’s that for an education.
Are you willing and able to invest some of you money in you education to assist you in creating success as an investor?
<blockquote>If NO: You are not what we are looking for.</blockquote> Yes, I know you're looking for someone that will starve their family, endanger the roof over their head and risk ruining their credit to give you $16,000. I find that reprehensible. <blockquote>When that changes will you please give me a call.</blockquote> Well, I'm never going to call to join Nouveau Riche, so just take me off the list now.
2. Are you willing to spend 5 to 10 hours a week on you real estate investing?I spend 40 to 60 now, so I already have you beat.
3. Are you ready to take action immediately?I'm already in action. I'm in the middle of a rehab. How about you come out and swing a hammer for a few hours and actually learn what goes into a rehab/flip.
One of the biggest killers to success is procrastination. Are you ready to take ACTION!Pssst! Action isn’t sending emails to RE investors to feed your pyramid scheme. It’s getting out there and buying properties. If your answer is YES!
I know your time is as valuable as mind.Huh?
To see if this is for you call this number and lets start your success today. 1-877-xxx-xxxxShouldn’t it read "Pyramid Schemer trying to pay off my $16,000 investment? Thanks,

You got it, BobbiOh!!!
Right on…pretty transparent aren’t they??

What are other specific organizations/cults/mlms/ect. that people should watch out for? I’m asking to be well informed myself, but not sure if this is okay to be published on this post.
Thanks,
