And the interesting thing is not only can you read it, but you can understand it… Lawmakers today PURPOSELY make it hard to read and understand so they can be deceptive and sneak things in that they KNOW wouldn’t pass the light of day… But this past summer, when people took the time and effort to read their 1000+ page monstrosity, they found them anyway, so this time, the Dems VOTED DOWN a Rep ammendment to post the bills on the internet for a measily 72 hours…
Deception, lack of transparency (Obama PROMISED we would be able to read the bills), hidden agenda’s… makes you feel all kinds of fuzzy, doesn’t it?..

Obama campaigned(thru axelrod’s research team) as a moderate.There was no chance(even as the 1st black pres)to win campaigning as a tax & spend total left liberal.So now that we see the campaign was a lie and he’s still the far left liberal his record in senate was the truth is out.
I would expect he’ll lose by a large margin in 2012,and thank god.A real mess someone will have to clean up begins in 2013.Next years election of the house will hopefully restore checks/balances in govt.This total left control will kill our country,the founders meant for checks/balances to prevent this.

Thanks for the kind words. There’s some crazy stuff going on right now with the wars and of course with other issues. One of my friends at work just got nailed for a new program. He’s supposed to go to Afghanistan to help stand up some type of special team (not spec ops, but I’m not completely sure what their purpose is). One of the criteria they used for selection was someone with useful language skills for the area. My friend is from Pakistan so he got selected. Most of the Individual Augmentee (now called GSA) assignments are for 6 months to 1 year. This deal is for a 3-5 year period where my friend and his team will alternate being in country with another team.
When you see footage of town hall meetings where all the constituents are vehemently opposed to what “their” elected official is doing, you have a severe problem where the gov’t has lost touch with its people. The media love affair is unlike any I’ve seen. I just wish we could get a gov’t that understands we need to wage an all out war on our debt and deficit. Right now we’ve got about as much fiscal sense as the 15 yr old high school kid who thinks as long as there are checks in the book, there must be money in the acct.
Hopefully our country will wake up before it’s too late.

All too true.I know alot of our system is broken,like healthcare.But it would seem to me like you said the debt,the economy would come first.As long as we’re so in debt we’ll always be over a barrel with other nations.The fact that China is our biggest debt holder should scare the hell out of americans and demand drastic debt reduction.
I’m still mind boggled at anyone who thinks this rate of spending can keep up.I have 2 good friends in Iraq and they have no idea of the :bs going on here with politicians.It’s a shame that the ones defending the country are treated as guard dogs instead of heros that stepped up to the plate.Any moron can tell lies and get elected,but our military should be our pride, not corrupt washington or our broken 2 party system.I wonder how the numbers compare as to what congress spends verses what is spent on military…Real numbers(not whitehouse :bs).

Obama’s new health insurance policy has changed the view of the health service providers. It was signifacant change and essential to the american citizen.
I am glad, too, that this country is finally doing the hard talking about health care that has been so desperately needed.
I am hoping for a Federal government option because:

The Fed . government already runs Medicare, VA Medical care, etc. They know how to do a national program.

If this option is left to the states it will create a big mess with, “But I just moved from that state, why can’t I get my operation here?” Imagine 50+ plans!

I am afraid that some states will not want to cover people and there will be unforseen medical migrations and disruptions. The same way that college students used to move to states that didn’t have tuition in the junior colleges, like California.

I think a Federal option is the only thing that would keep insurance companies competitive. Or they will back-slide.

I find it amazing that people complain about the country being protected by the military, which they have been successful at, and IS the federal governments role… health care IS NOT their constitutional role… If you are going to say it is, then you are against the founding of the country, because those powers are NOT specifically enumerated in the Constitution… You have to IGNORE the Constitution to do this… you cannot get around it…

You won’t get an argument from me on being the policeman of the world, however, think about this… the amount we spent on two wars over an eight period is LESS than all the bailouts… it also LESS than this years DEFICIT, which is over 1.5 TRILLION DOLLARS… It is also LESS than the TRILLIONS spent on INTEREST ALONE (with $650 BILLION for this year alone), since 2001… :banghead
