WOW! I wondered how Hillary won Ohio after Obama just kicked her A$$ in 11 states by LARGE margins. Suddenly, she wins in Ohio. Didn’t make any sense to me until I heard that Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives were pushing voting for Hillary in protest of McCain. Why any Republican would vote for Hillary in his right mind is beyond me.
I like McCain (I liked him better in 2000). We need someone in the White House who can work both sides of the aisle. Hillary is way too polarizing for that! This Country need to be brought together a little after the divisions made over the last 8yrs.
Isn’t it time we elected someone for President other than a Bush or a Clinton anyway? 20 yrs is long enough!
Bottom Line: Our system is corrupted. I DON’T believe in any of them and therefore, I WON’T VOTE for any of them.

I see all this talk about the Dems being Socialist. In it’s most basic form Socialist believe that the government should own and control major industries. The only major industry that I see even being discussed between the 2 candidates is health care.
Now I don’t know about you other REI but I think it would be nice to have health insurance. I called my ins. broker the other day and he said to insure myself, my fiancee, and my newborn would be about $900/mth :shocked Are you kidding me! Why not have the gov’t foot this bill. We are all self-employed, noone is picking up a portion of our medical insurance. One accident and a subsequent trip to the ER and it’s going to set you back about 5k, at a minimum. My fiancee just went through a pregnancy, it ain’t cheap!
So enlighten me, why would people in our position (self-employed) not want some form of med. insurance. Don’t tell me because this is done by raising taxes. We all take massive tax deductions and I’m sure a small hike isn’t going to cripple any of us.

Health insurance, pregnancy, and trips to the ER after an accident aren’t cheap – soooo, why not force someone else to pay for it! Cars aren’t cheap either – why not force someone else to pay for it, right?
The government doesn’t “foot the bill” – taxpayers do. If you pay taxes on the federal level in any form, under a national/socialized/universal health care plan YOU ARE paying for health insurance, just not your own.
Where does this idea begin that if something is expensive, someone else should be made to pay for it?
Just remember this… under nationalized health care, you should expect all the compassion of the IRS, and the efficiency of FEMA.

You are not a VICTIM! The government (the other taxpayers and I) do not owe you ANYTHING, including health insurance.
BTW, socialism isn’t necessarily ownership of the means of production, it can be the CONTROL of the means of production. I have heard the socialists (Billary and Obama) say that they intend to take profits from the oil industry and the drug industry. While they would fully like to inplement global socialism, they certainly are not going to try that at square one. It will be enough for them to socialize health care; and control the oil and drug companies. ONE STEP AT A TIME. And don’t think your little rental property business isn’t in their sights!!!

Because the price of your health care does not go down when the government pays for it.
So instead of paying $900 for your insurance, the governement increases your taxes by $900 to pay for your family’s health care. Then they increase your taxes by a second $900 to pay for a welfare family’s health care.
Then they must increase your taxes by another $1800 to pay for government inefficiency and waste, plus the fact that free health care is used like the all-you-can-eat buffet.
When peole have to write their own checks, they only go to the doctor when they need health care. If Uncle writes the checks, people go to the doctor when they are lonely, or they are bored, or they are hypocondriac, or just becasue it is nice to have someone else pull the splinter out.
It’s a lot cheaper for you to pay your own $900 and let everyone else pay their own $900.
As an answer to the original question; I’m voting for Donald Trump! :shocked It’s not as crazy as it sounds. I read his book " The America We Deserve" a while back when he was considering a presidential run. I really liked his ideas in the book about the county’s problems and solutions. I don’t know if he’d ever be able to get things done in Washington, but who knows? How about Jessie " The Body" Ventura? :shocked. I’d like Ross Perot for vice pres. just because he cracks me up the way he talks :biggrin If none of those are on the ballot then I’ll just :banghead then :beer then :flush
We all want more services from our government but yet we do not want to pay taxes. America’s have one of the lowest tax brackets in the world. check out the articlue. This is why we can not offer more government services plus the fact that most people living in america will take advantage of the system as a form of greed and feel they have a right to be compensated.

The govt. wastes too much money. Paying more taxes foe more services is pointless. Can someone explain the logic of sending the space shuttle into space and the whole space program all together is a priority over America’s school system, national debt etc? This is just one of many examples. As far as paying taxes. The middle-class is becoming the “new poor”. In many ways, the middle class are worse off because they make too much to qualify for govt. entitlement programs if needed. Meanwhile, there are many “poor” people using these programs as a way of life. The answer to who will pay taxes has and will be the middle class. The rich build businesses. If taxes are too high for businesses, they’ll take their business to other countries. The rich are usually savvy enough to create tax shelters. The poor are smart ( and lazy) enough to keep themselves poor. We are quickly becoming a country of rich and poor people.
We all want more services from our government but yet we do not want to pay taxes.
I do NOT want more government services or higher taxes. In fact, I think the very best thing that could hppen is for the government to lower taxes and GET THE HECK OUT OF OUR WAY!

Just what is the point and justification for NASA? That is an absolute waste of money. What has that done for our country since its inception? Billions and billions of dollars wasted.
Well Without NASA we would not have satelites in space which help in carrying our internet signals so we can have this discussion on how much of waste NASA is. :biggrin

A while back, Bush was speaking about how Americans needs financial education so they know how to manage debt responsibly and invest :shocked. He had a some advisors with him ( I think it chuck schuab or some other investment broker) to speak on how Americans should be investing in the stock market more etc… or something like that. Take a look at America’s debt! The govt. is the last place I’d seek for financial advice. And I’m sure the Wall St. brokers would love to have more people investing in the stock market. Most people would typically go through one of those brokers. The whole thing was joke. O.K. I’m off my soapbox :biggrin
