How can I increase web traffic??

I have a group of questions here regarding getting my website traffic increased! These are just ideas/questions that I could think of, I would be greatly appreciative of anyone who can answer any of these questions or anyone who has any extra input/ideas that I should consider!

I just made a “We Buy Houses” type website and my goal is to target local motivated sellers. At this point I am looking to get it as high up on the search engines as possible, preferably the top spot as soon as possible. I kind of have a feeble understanding of what it takes to get there though. From what I understand you have to use a “SEO” (Search Engine Optimizer), but I don’t know exactly what that entails.

Is getting to the #1 spot essentially all about using keywords and phrases? And if so, how do I know what phrases are the most commonly searched?

Where do I go to learn about and setup Payperclick?

Besides getting #1 on SEO, and plugging my site on my direct mail pieces, what else can I do to attract as many local motivated sellers to my site??

How do I use Blogging to get local motivated sellers specifically, to come to my site?

BackLinking? Forum posting? Directory submission? Social book marking? I don’t even know what any of these are, or how they can be affiliated with web traffic?
Thanks in advance!

hi OregonInvestor, to answer a few of your questions.

Yes, getting on the no. 1 is about choosing the right keyword because this serves are your basic foundation of getting ranked. You have identify the volume of searches and its relevance on your website. You can use google keyword tool to identify phrases with most searched term.

You have to create a rich-compelling content that will help or provide solutions to your reader.

Backlinking is the process of getting links for your website. Forum Posting, directory submission and social bookmarking are SEO strategies that helps a website get backlinks.

Hey there, I just found this website and I would love to give you a few tips. (In full disclosure I am a real estate marketing exec, this is all I do)

The best way with less stress to drive traffic in this current economy is Facebook Advertising. (note this is NOT social media, it is actually purchasing facebook click advertising)

Some people swear by craigslist but in my experience although traffic does come, it usually ends up as tire kickers and people already working with other agents.

I would recommend you not taking too much on your plate, your head might actually explode and your real estate business will suffer as you inadvertently become a web marketing expert. However by focusing on a few things you can enter into traffic increases without effecting your strength as an agent in your area.

One more thought that I want to share, traffic is NOT as important as conversion. If you had 5 people on your website today and they all became clients that is more important than 5000 people on your site who leave in 3 seconds. Conversion precedes traffic so you must make every effort to create calls to action and strategic value statements throughout your marketing materials. This will be more valuable than traffic. Once you nail conversions, traffic will work in your favor so much more than you can imagine.

Remember be faithful in little, and you will be given more!

It is not hard or tough thing.
If want to increase business website, apply these steps in any effective way:-
Search related forum & blog,
Use higher PR forums,
Post quality comments,
Social sites,
Post article and directories…

Getting a first position for “We Buy Houses” is going to be very difficult because it is already a very popular key phrase and is oversaturated. I would use Craisglist , the “Housing Wanted” section.

If you want to increase web traffic for any website, you need to expand the website on some popular social media website like, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Youtube etc.

Well, aside from the others that already mentioned, you might also want to use your forum signature to provide link to your websites. That would allow people here (and in other forum of your interests) to check what your website is all about.

Hello

Yes. It is important to do some SEO, but don’t spend all of your time there. If you do free course or two, you can do a lot of it yourself.

Think of a new website as a gas station at the side of a highway. At first, no one knows that it is there, because even though it looks nice and is functional, it isn’t linked to anything and unless someone accidentally drives off the main road, they won’t bump into it. The lights are off, until you link it up with the main search engine traffic stream. Essentially, by building links, you are turning on the lights at night and, you are building a service road to your station. When people know it’s there, they will drive off the search engine highway, to your door and fill up with your services (if you are selling what they want). The looking good and being functional are what get the sale, once they arrive at your site.

Now, think of each link as a piece of advertising along the highway. Small websites (less popular) are like erecting small signs, but big, popular sites are like putting up big billboards. It’s kind of like receiving 1 or 150 votes in an election. It’s worth the time to do this properly. Include quality, honest text. Avoid some free services that may get you a link on some website the major search engines have banned (about 1,000,000 or 300,000,000 sites worldwide). Some free submission services are fine however.

You also need to let search engines know you exist. You don’t get a page ‘so-to-speak’, but they will list you in searches. There are free services that do this.

Social media (facebook, twitter etc) are important. They are becoming more important to search engines.

Another important thing is to seek out the English pages on foreign search engines in China and India. Baidu is a huge Chinese Search Engine and is worth submitting to.

I hope this helps somewhat!

Have a great day.

John

At times, aiming for the number one can be not feasible. If you’ve done all those backlinkings and content optimizing, and your competitor is doing the same but they preceeded your site by three years, it would be difficult to beat them. Nonetheless, you should keep doing the SEO tactics and complement it with other forms of marketing like social media. You won’t get to number 1, but you will keep having many visitors.

Besides, who knows when your competitor might become sloppy with their SEO or in taking care of their website. You can easily sneak to number 1 if you keep doing SEO.

Generate more number of backlinks, and do white hat SEO, my keyword Flats in OMR was nowhere last week but today its in 2nd postion.

Social Media Optimization is one of the effective way to increase the traffic of a website. Along with this you can also do Social Bookmarking, Classified Ads, Blog Submission and Forum Posting.

There are many free and paid techniques to increase website traffic such as PPC, SEO, SMO. It’s depend on your business niche, budgets.

Hey there!

SEO takes a very long time to build up and requires a lot more than just keywords. But, by using PPC (pay per click) and the bidding system, you can jump right up to the first page of the Google search results basically overnight. You just need to make sure you have a good bid, that you did your keyword research, have a strong ad and landing page, and focus on continually improving your quality score. (Sounds like a lot, right? Not going to lie, it kind of is.)

A good place to get started is AdWords, but you might need to research it a bit befre you launch your first campaign because PPC can get pretty complicated, pretty quick.

You have a lot of questions to get through though so feel free to PM me if you want to know more!

Patience and perseverance seem to be the keys to generating web traffic. A easy-to-navigate website with solid white-hat seo helps as well.

For me the key has really been creating better content on my site then anyone else out there. I try to keep in mind that google is trying to find the best info for the user and if I can provide them more information then the next guy over time I will get more traffic.
