Joining forums and blogs on your niche, signing up to different social media platforms, joining and commenting on relevant Facebook groups on your niche.
Try posting some Craigslist ads for your locality. Also SEO has long term benefits as supposed to the shoot and miss approach of posting ads. However it is the most difficult to achieve and you need extensive knowledge and a good budget to make it work. Google ads can be expensive but if you try Microsoft Ads and Facebook ads if gets much cheaper but the conversion rates suffer.
I could suggest posting some ads as well on google adwords and facebook ads. You can’t just relay on SEO for all your traffic.
To increase the web traffic concentrate on the social media marketing strategies like Google+,Twitter,Facebook etc…
Pay Per Click advertising is the quickest way to get first page results. Of course, it can also be the most expensive way as well depending on the competitiveness in your local market.
As far as increasing ranking’s organically, the biggest indicator Google looks at are backlinks aka what sites have links pointing back to yours. Think of a backlink like a vote and the pages with the most votes rank higher. One word of advice: don’t pay for backlinks as Google is constantly updating and will slap a penalty on your site if you try to hire some guy in India to spam your link.
But I honestly would try to outsource this stuff in some way if you can afford it. If you like the techie stuff or enjoy writing blogs, that’s great, but the amount of time you have to invest to do things the way google likes to see isn’t always the best use of your time.
You can use social bookmarking sites, forums, blogs etc
I Suggest you to hire a good SEO agency
You can try using social bookmarking, blogging forums etc

Definetly want to start a blog and write some relevant content. It’s a lot of work but will pay off in the long run
You can use tools like SEO Moz or SEMRush to help you find relevant keywords and point out issues you have to fix in your current website in order to rank higher on search engines. If you’re focusing on Google also check out the PageSpeed tools provided by them.
SEO for your local market. No use using generic, general terms. SEO takes time but it’s the best way.
There are a ton of great resources all over the internet that explain what to do. One word of caution is that if a vendor promises quick results it is usually not real or could even hurt your rankings. SEO takes time to see results.
I recommend working on Adwords at the same time as SEO because you can get on page 1 within days or even hours if done correctly with the right budget.
you can use google keyword planner to find the best keywords to target. and the best part it’s free. ubersuggest.com is also a good one that is free.
Wait. STOP!
A lot of the answers here to your question will actually hurt you.
In theory they are correct… but be careful. Traffic to your site is not “good”.
If you get a ton of traffic to your site and they bounce, guess what, Google will demote your rankings (for the keywords used to reach your site).
Make sure you do not just focus on traffic. Make sure you get motivated sellers to visit you. CTR bounce rate and Time on site, are all important measure to monitor. Tweak your site based on that.
Some people have already posted this, but I agree:
-Create original content that people will actually enjoy reading
-Optimize the content posts so that they rank well organically (you can Google how to do this)
-Start up social media accounts and post and engage well
-Get backlinks from sites that will post your content
-Pay for things initially to get the ball rolling. Your content may be great but people won’t know at first unless you gain traction.
Hope this helps!
check out serpstat.com and crazyegg.com. these are two tools I have been using and have found to be very helpful with SEO. Seprstat is way cheaper than Moz
