Nevermind. I just did a search on this forum and the outcome wasnt too positive. It seems that the $100 package is a teaser for the $1000 one.

Armando is facing 2 years in jail right now for Service Theft. 20+ of his properties were up for foreclosure till another investor in town bailed him out.
As it should be! I’m personally not a big fan. He may be a great guy (don’t think so, but maybe) but, if so, why would you let your TV show represent you as a sleazeball with no redeeming qualities and no professional morals/ethics?

I can’t believe he has any contractors that will work for him. It’s hard to know if his TV personality on the show is real or not. How real can you be when you have a camera following you around? If you tried to lowball the contractors in real life, they’ll tell you " That’s the price. Take it or leave it". In the last episode I saw, I think he should’ve greased up his wife and sister in-law and let them have at it (instead of the pig) :shocked. It would’ve been more entertaining. :biggrin

I met him in person at our local REIA group. He is the same in person as on TV and tried to take advantage of the newbies by talking them into buying 10 house packages at 100% LTV promising them 13% appreciation a year in the bad side of town.
I was unhappy with our local REIA group for allowing such proposal, and I later found out there were others who had same issue with our local REIA for allowing him on stage.
Well I hope that the “newbies” would have the sense to at least pick the brains of the seasoned vets in the REIA. Sometimes newbies either don’t ask enough questions ( because they may not like the answers) or they feel they’re so hell bent on “jumping in” that they ignore any sound advice that differs from their own.

His aggressive style definitely has drawbacks. It’s probably why his brother is no longer on the show with him and why he has to have a project manager. It was funny when he took on that one house and had to do work himself because no contractors wanted to work with him. Brent didn’t even want to give him his list of contractors because he knew that Armando would drive them away. That said, he makes for entertaining TV.
His business model was based on the note market, and once the market turned, he could not sell his notes and got stuck with the houses.
He used to buy the houses at a discount, fix them up, sell them to bad credit buyers, then turn around and sell the note at 90% after seasoning it for 3 months to his note buyer.
Now that the note buyers won’t pay much for such notes, he could not get from under his deals. He was doing 20 houses a month in town (according to him of course).
He is young and have not gone through bad market before, so this took him by surprise. His family is trying to distance themselves from him now because he is affecting their businesses as well.
By the way, and for the record, the sister in law is MUCH cuter in person.

No but my wife is a solid 9 out of 10 and is a partner in a top tier NYC law firm…Not slinging herself around the slums with her T & A hanging out…And I’m not sure what my wife has anything to do with my previous post???..
