Question for you guys. Would you ever consider tiling your entire (personal) house, including the bathrooms and bedrooms?
No not in the Ohio climate.
Only if I could put drains in the center of the rooms so I could wash them down with a hose!!

I am in the tile business and I have seen a lot of homes completely tiled, including garages and porches. Mostly in warmer climates since frost is a killer. But you can buy frost proof porcelain tiles and thinset that is made or outdoor use, like in fountains and pools.
For inside a home, tile retains heat on radiant heated floors and makes cleaning easy. No worrying about maintaining or repairing hardwoods. But tile can be more expensive to buy and install. As for grouting, use an epoxy grout or a regular grout with additive to reduce staining. You can also use a grout sealer. Never wash with cleansers because they stain grout. Use just water or white vinegar for stains. Also, pets are the worst nightmare for most flooring. Pet hair and oils will kill your hardwood finish and turn your grout black.
In my own home, the kitchen floor and backsplash is tiled. The bathrooms are tiled floor to ceiling with only paint on the ceiling. And the basement is tiled with 18" tile and a cheap throw rug, in case water gets in.
In my own home I’d put tile in the kitchen, bathrooms and possible the the hallway downstairs. I’s use hardwood in all other rooms with throw rugs/ area rugs.
During flight school, I rented a house in Corpus that was tiled everywhere but the living area. It was kinda strange. The owner supposedly put all the tile in because her husband had bad allergies. Later she moved and turned the place into a rental.
