Which contact management system do you guys like most?

I just bought Gold Mine today because manually keep track of thousands of leads has really burned me out lately and i have not been motivated to market much lately.

So i need you guys help as i make my final decision. :help

I like a GoldMine because I’ve been using it and it is convenient and intuitive. Unfortunately, I didn’t use other systems so I am voting for a GoldMine.

Thanks for the response rama, but how did you set up like you wanted it? I am not so technical so i am finding it kind of difficult.

I just started using RealProspect a couple days ago. Cost about $223 for the software, with lifetime updates, etc etc.

So far i like it alot. To me, it was that or Profit Tiger Pro which i’ve heard great things about. Problem with PTP, is that it’s $97/month.

It used to be around $2300 for PTP, but now that’s not available, only $97/month. No it doesn’t pay itself off, no you’re not paying for server or an online service, you’re paying $97/month for a client side software. I just can’t do that. I’d rather pay for Top Producer and have it online!

So far i’m like RealProspect. I was doing everything on paper and that quickly has gotten out of hand, so 2 hours learning RP, 2 hours inputting my data, and now i have a contact management solution.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of things they can add or improve on, but those things will come. I had an issue with the software, emailed the company, and the owner e-mailed me back with 15 minutes. Was very nice and helpful.

So i’m sold, if the ‘right’ people are behind the product, i feel i made the right choice. Would love to hear everyone else’s experiences.

Anyone using Top Producer? I know a lot of realtors use it and swear by it. Wondering how that system compares to the others mentioned. I will be getting my license soon and thinking about using one of the products out there to manage contacts (I’ll be working as an agent part time while I try to build up cash to buy investment property and get out from under my 40 hr IT job). MS Outlook is all fine and dandy when there isn’t a lot of data to track but I’d like to try something better.

Rich,

I have my license but havn’t paid my dues yet. I’ve decided to do the investing first, although my regular job is in the RE office. Nobody in there uses TopProducer, but through my research it is the way i’m going to go and it seems to be VERY effective. I just hope i’m not being too subjective.

what all does real prospect do. does it automate leads sent from your email without your assistance?

does it filter through leads that you are likely to turn down?

What do you like most about the software?

www.realestateinvestor.com i believe is the URL

It does not automate leads sent from e-mail, although you can import/export your data in .csv format.

Thus, if you can have your e-mailed leads go into a proper .csv file, then u can import the data with one button click

I havn’t found a way to do this yet, but i know it’s possible and not hard to do. Time demands are just killing me right now so it’s not in my priority list.

What i like most about the software is putting away that STACK of papers on properties, buyers, bird dogs, etc. and just looking at a screen full of data. Much easier!

In retrospect, i’m going to go back to manual information, and then enter the data. I find entering my data straight to the computer i tend to miss things that i don’t when i use my Property Information Form and a pen.
