what might this guy be talking about?

So, I am up late last night and yet another infomercial on how to make ooodles of money in RE with no money, no credit, and no work.

The system was John Burley’s progressive profits system. http://www.progressiveprofits.com/

Anyway, the thing that caught my ear was this:

“Rental properties are the way many people used to generate monthly income. That is the old way of doing things. I will show you the new way to generate positive cash flow monthly in my Cash Flow Secrets course.”

Then some people come on and say something like:

“I have cash flow properties generating $5000 per month for me.”

What in the world could he be talking about? I don’t see how this can’t be a rental prop. I thought lease/option but that is still rental with intent to purchase.

You think my post was “promotional”??? The guy asked a question and I answered it.

I guess I can see where it might have come off that way, so I apologize for its seeming “spammy” nature.

However, if you actually check out the stuff I wrote at my blog you’ll see that what I have there hardly counts as “advertisements”–for John Burley or anyone or anything else!

Do I sell any of my own products? No. I don’t even have any products to sell.

Do I write a puff peice about how great “Progressive Profits” is and how much money it made me? No.

Is there any indication anywhere that I actually like John Burley or any of his crappy products? No.

Do I try to get you to buy the products of some other wacky guru with a “system that really works”, instead? No.

I think John Burley is unscrupulous and misrepresents both himself and the technique that he claims to “teach” his students. This is, of course, just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

The purpose of my blog posts is to make all of John Burley’s real estate documentation (by that I mean the publicly recorded documents related to his real estate transactions) more readily accessible to the lay public. I think this will allow people to decide for themselves whether what he claims is true or not. It will also probably serve as a better education than one could get by purchasing his garbage.
