What kind of Tax Attorney?

Just want to say I am a noob well sorta to the real estate game. So far things have been good with the exception of these damn taxes. I own few income properties and I need a fucking break lol. I have a good CPA but I know they are not TAX SPECIALIST. So my question is if anyone is using a tax attorney and if so what kind of tax attorney.

Should I go with a general business tax attorney or just real estate?

sounds like you need a better CPA.

Jay,
For what it’s worth, you just had a great CPA respond to you. Mark’s excellent at what he does and very helpful on here.

Check with your local REIA club for a good CPA, someone that understands the business and can find deductions.

I remember when I started out, my CPA did all sorts of crazy deductions as I was buying in my name, not business credit like most and many said NO to those deductions but he did. in 2008 got my first (hopefully last) IRS audit. They were seeking over 40K from 2005-2007. Well after a 1yr process we settled for $3200. Not bad I say.
