What do you tell tenants when on vacation?

What do you guys tell you tenants when going on week long vacations and won’t be able to fix their issues.

Do you have to let them know?

All of our rental agreements have our daughter’s phone on it in case they can’t reach us. I hesitate to tell some tenants that we will be gone…
when the cat’s away…

ah yes so on the lease or whatever just give them a 2nd number

Let them leave a message for you on your machine/vm. If it’s urgent have a trusted friend go over and help them out or call a contractor as necessary if its a plumbing thing or something like that. You can check your voicemail from Uganda if need be, they don’t have to know where you are when you call back or send someone out to fix their probs. 8)

Or if need be you can give them your cell number…but who wants tenants to have a hotline to them 24/7?

thanks only problem with me is I have no landline, so cell would be only option. Not like I have to answer though
