3/4 Ton 2000 F150 4x4 bought new in 99, 50 k for miles, keep it sharp looking Probably going to trade it in this summer for full size van which is more practical for tools and equipment with the Buffalo winters and as i already own a full size trailer if i need to haul lots of supplys.
I have a 94 Saab Story convertible I use when going to purchase/sell a property, recently with the top down and A/C blowing cold.
(It’s already hot here in Texas)
I have a Big A** Ford Expedition that I like to drive, but until I find the hole in the gas tank (seems to always be empty), or the gas prices go down - I’ll leave it in the garage.
When actually working on a rehab, I have a sexy white 96 Ford Cargo Van that works great. I can lock the doors to secure my tools and they are out of the weather, so no unloading anything in between projects.
The van is like a rolling warehouse.
By the way, here is a list of stuff landlords/rehabbers should keep in the Van/Truck/Car
*Frequently used hand tools
*ROPE (for tying down material/junk)
*Flashlight *Trouble light/clamp light
*Duct tape (for many uses)
*Bungee Cords
*two 50-foot extension cords
*Small stepladder
*Gloves
*Big trash bags
*Cleaning supplies
*cordless drill with bits
*Light bulbs
*Paper towels
*Drop cloth
*Garden hose
*Mop, broom, dustpan.
*Glue (Ever tried Gorilla glue? It’s good!), caulk, etc.
*Tape measure.
*Phone book
I also carry a 18.5 inch 12ga pump shotgun for protection, but usually only when going over to the wrong side of town :-\
Hey,
About the only requirement one has here in Texas is A/C as wehave already had over 100 degree temps already. Also, you don’t get no respect unless you drive a hemi dually PU. So, I don’t get any respect, but I get the cash.
Peace,
Richard
