Im on my way on creating a strategy plan for my real estate website and looking for advice that can help me to come up with working strategy.
Any help will be truly appreciated.
For starters…
targeted keywords in your title tags
relative content (and keywords) on each page of your site
a keyword-rich domain name always helps
listing your site and pertinent information in various directories
creating a Google Maps/Places account…bound to get you Page 1, “above the fold”.
Works for me.
What have you done thus far to market your site?
Have you received any traffic to your site since you’ve created it?
Any leads/closed deals from it?
What are your plans & goals by implementing an online marketing strategy?
Start with onpage optimization such as editing your title tags, meta keyword, description, content etc. Ensure that you will make it look like a real estate website for search engines. After that do off page optimization to increase its ranking on search engines.
Building backlinks is critical to establishing long term seo. Make sure your site is being linked to by many sites. A good way to start is Web 2.0 sites. Link back to your website on a regular bases. :beer
How many backlink for 1 website per day i should produce? That google won’t think it’s not a spamming?
This is really subjective, although I believe you can do around 10 (if your website is brand new) and still fly under the radar. Your business website should not be flagged by Google by doing this.
I am sure that you can do way more than that. I know guys that are building over 200 backlinks a day to their site.
Think about it, Google will sandbox your site for building to many backlinks within a short period of time, don’t you think that people will blast tons of backlinks to their competitors websites?
The internet doesn’t work like that. It takes time for the spiders to crawl the sites that you have backlinks to. It doesn’t matter how many backlinks you get per day but what matters to the search engines like google, yahoo and bing are the backlinks that you are getting make sense? Do they show a natural progression?
For example, if you have a new website and all the sites that are linking back to you have a page rank of 6 or 7. This is not a natural progression. However, if your new website had backlinks from websites with a page rank of 0 to 3 in the beginning and then began getting backlinks from sites with a page rank of 4 to 7 that would be a natural progression for a new website.
The internet has become well known as a force that can completely transform entire industries during the course of just several years. This is no exception to the Real Estate industry. Brokers, sales associates, appraisers, developers, landscapers, interior designers, home inspectors, auctioneers, and marketing firms are all using the internet to engage the real estate industry like never before.
To a great extent I am a beneficiary of this technological expansion. A little over a year ago I started a full time position as an IT Specialist and Web Developer for a real estate company. Prior to working in real estate I had been a freelance web developer for about 5 or 6 years. My time in the real estate industry has been extremely educational as I have been able to get a first hand account of how a unique industry can prosper through the internet.
Want to get-on Google’s first page and loads of traffic to our website? Hire a SEO Specialist
Another important piece of the puzzle for building backlinks are Press Releases and Articles. Original content still remains king in attracting and retaining visitors. Good luck.
Google no longer recognize meta keywords. I’m not sure about Yahoo and Bing.
Everything about SEO that I could say was already said. I would just like to add one more tip. Don’t copy from your brochures or company’s marketing literature as they are. Chances are, your fellow agents have an advertisement or website somewhere and many of you will end up in the lowest rank (bad), supplementary results (worse) or simply not indexed at all (worst). The reason? duplicate content.
Unless your company has strict rule about using your marketing literature as they are, you should at least paraphrase them so search engines won’t consider them duplicate content.
keep an eye on your customers and how they think and try to expect their search keywords because real estate is a high competitive business
how fast is the internet growing?
No one can say. Many are attempting to estimate the growth of resources and internet users but you always have to keep in mind that there is uncertainty. Everything are changing too quickly. We can only guess but there are no exact numbers. However, the growth of internet is like a nuclear bomb basing on the information represented by the number of servers, pages of Internet information and internet users.
Rapid Internet growth – more online information, more data and a lot of junk too.
Many of the websites are invisible. They do not have “Spider food” for search engines to read and absorb. Their contents are invisible and that is the reason why you need to optimize your website for the search engines.
If there are millions of websites and more are added everyday, you need to ensure that the search engines can index, read and absorb your website so that your clients can find it easily. Search Engine Optimization is the way to ensure that this happens.
You should hire a Professional SEO team to do that for you.
The same I di9d and implement. I feel it is the best processes to work on. I even do some other processes toolike-
Blog creation and Promotion
Press releases
Targeting mainly Web 2.0 sites
Social networking sites impacts even more to this.
Your main goal is to advertise your site right? Of course SEO strategies like link submissions or backlinks will definitely help. But if you are really serious in advertising you website, let other people know about it. Create a page in facebook, a twitter account or any other social networking sites.
don’t forgot to update & maintain your website regularly so your visitors will want to revisit and continue doing business with you. Yes, it is very important to come up first. However, the quality of your website will determine whether or not the visitor views you as being a professional & a market leader in your industry. If your site is cheap and never updated, they will just go on to the next one…
good seo shouldn’t have to be complicated…
Do something as simple as creating a google alert for specific keywords. Do it on a daily basis and scan the articles that pop up. Some have a place where you can reply and add your web address along with your name and email. When you reply, make an effort to relate your response to the article that’s written. Don’t use one word replies. This will start you on your way to back link success!
Regarding mailings, you send say 100 letters out to prospects. What’s next? Do you send another hundred a week later? Do you mix up letters with post cards? I’ve heard you have to “touch” people 5-7 times before you get a response. Thanks in advance. Rob
(Sorry, this was posted to the wrong topic!)
Interesting topic - we’ve had a website up for a few years and I’ve never done any of this - probably why I haven’t done that many deals from the website. All we have done is link back to our site from Craigslist and our mailings. I’m starting to study this and am going to put some of the good ideas I’ve read here into action.
Rob - re: mailings - yes, you definitely need to commit to hitting them monthly for a direct mail program to be effective. If you won’t or can’t, use another method - signs would be my suggestion as they generate calls from the git go…
yeah, you got to SEO your site. A website is useless if no one can find it when they are searching for your services or products.
You can easily triple your business if you incorporate quality seo into your marketing & advertising. so the 2 most important things to strive for are page 1 search rankings (top 5 gets 75% of the business) and your website has to promote a great presentation, otherwise they may find you first, but if your website is crap they will continue to look for your competitors because your website is what represents you…
if you go to melbourneseoservices (dot) com - they have a really good “SEO Manifesto” that you can download for free, it will tell you what are best and simple seo strategies you should incorporate to your site…there is also some pretty good videos…
