I am looking to get into real estate investing and would like to know what are your top book picks.
I am currently reading:
The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller
How I turned $1000 into a Million in Real Estate- in My Spare Time by William Knickerson
I chose those two so far because I heard that they are good starts (via amazon reviews, internet searches and personal recommendations. Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
There are literally thousands of books on real estate investing. I myself have one of the largest collections of them known to mankind! But seriously now, I do own a rather large bookshelf jammed full of real estate books, tapes, CDs and DVDs.
So I thought I would share my top 10 real estate investing books with you. That’s not to say that I only have 10 favorites, becasue I could easily add another 10. But for those of you looking for some good book recommendations, here they are:
* Investing in Real Estate, 5th Edition (Andrew James McLean)
* The Millionaire Real Estate Investor (Gary Keller)
* How to Make Millions in Real Estate in Three Years (T. Hicks)
* Real Estate Advantages (Sharon L. Lechter)
* Making Big Money Investing in Real Estate (Peter Conti)
* IRA Wealth (Patrick Rice)
* Rich Dad, Poor Dad (Robert T. Kiyosaki)
* Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing (Robert T. Kiyosaki)
* The Complete Guide to Real Estate Finance for Investment Properties (Steve Berges)
* What Every Real Estate Investor Needs to Know about Cash Flow (Frank Gallinelli)
Thanks for the replies! It’s so hard to sift through the thousands of REI books, seminars, etc. Thanks for your input Robert (especially since you have a collection to pull from). I will definitely check a few more out. So far the Gary Keller book I am reading (The Millionaire Real Estate Investor) is inspiring and informative although it doesn’t go into as much detail as to the "how’s " that I would like.
I’ve heard a lot about kiyosaki and read a few snippets here and there but I think I will definitely pick one of them up.
I have to agree with the Robert Kiosaki bunch. The Rich Dad, Poor Dad books have changed the lives of many people. We even bought the board game and play it once a month. His group has free seminars around the country. Read the books, then go and you will hear some amazing strategies that I use often.
