Voice Mail

Can anybody suggest a good online voice mail company that offers the option to use a local number in lieu of a standard 800 number? I am not really interested in a lot of the other frills at this point…just the local number.

Thank You.

Anyone?

For very basic voice mail I like www.evoice.com It’s only $4.95 a month and they even offer a free 30 day trial.

does anybody know of a cheaper one??? please!!! ::slight_smile:

Cheaper than $5 a month?? Buy an answering machine off of e-Bay. I probably even have one in the garage that I’d give you. The phone companies have overhead and can’t give their services away…!

hahaha… oooook… I was just asking…

Have you been using it? Is it reliable?

I’ve been using Freedomvoice.com for a few years now. I buy the tol free vanity with TollFreeNumbers.com, then transfer to Freedomvoice. They have pricing online.

I have used ringcentral.com for a few years. lots of bells and whistles. skype.com offers a voicemail for 10 bucks for 3 months and 10 buck for the number for 3 months. its internet based but the call quality is suprisingly good. there are many. also, i have had lots of success with live answering services (fewer hang ups). do your homework on this type of service and find a good one. good luck.

DeeinAustin: We have talked to a couple of agents who have freedomvoice but they weren’t able to give us a true sense of the return on investment. Do you think it’s helped you or could you have gotten the same results with a standard toll free number? The reports feature seems to be very goood.

I use a FREE voicemail from netzero. I get a local number and it just plays a message from me after a few rings.

Its free and it holds like 10K calls…

I use the reports to prove how many calls we get on properties and know which ones are hot. I like many of the features of the service and use it in my business every day. The rates seem more affordable than ArchTelecom and others.
