Now that we have our VA approval letter, we are having our credit re-checked :deal, we’ve found a home to purchase. We’ve called a couple VA lenders and waiting to see what we can do.
Our home is attached to the home we’d like to purchase. :banghead
Our daughter would like to see us (her parents) stay at the house instead of moving to a retirement home. :shocked She plans on accomplishing this by having the attached wall knocked down :banghead(her suggestion) and making the entire 1st floor a master suite.
Also, instead of us going up and down the steps (both homes are 3 stories, with basement it makes 4 floors) to wash clothes, she’d like the laundry moved up to the 1st floor and the kitchen, expanded also the bathroom expanded with a possible powder room.

:helpQuestion: We’ve been approved. Is it possible to get a renovation home loan included in this VA loan or are there programs for handicap renovations for Veterans (that we are unaware of). :help
My husband is currently, in the VA hospital getting his 2nd hip replaced (age 80 and I’m a young 70 something). :biggrin
