Too Many Areas?

I currently reside in NY and have heard that it is a difficult place to wholesale. I have been learning how to wholesale locally as well as virtually. My question is would I be spreading myself too thin trying to market to four different areas to start out. Or should I do one or two and as I make deals start to spread out. I don’t want to only rely on NY to start out with, however, I am not sure if four markets is a bit much for someone who has not completed a deal yet. Any insight?

Thanks in advance!!!

Very good question. In New york everything is pretty closed in so I would do a boro at at time. Focus your attention on Brooklyn. Build your buyers list for Brooklyn, and while you are doing that, ask them if they buy in any other boro’s. Than you see where you buyers like houses and build on that.

Put them in a sms text messaging system and every time you get a house under contract all your buyers will be hit right on the hip, vs. calling all of them and wasting time. :cool

Thanks Delondon for the reply. Why do you suggest BK? I was actually thinking of starting in the Bronx. Do you know someone or are you working in BK and can give me a few tips on why you think its better to start there?
