The membership is small but you have to start somewhere… We need to make more people like us aware of these small minded freaks that spend all their free time stealing our signs…
I’ve got a REAL problem with the site’s assertion that “the Republicans would rather you didn’t post your signs and try and increase your income through a legitimate, hardworking, American sense of business”…it’s actually the Democrats that are anti-business! Why is it a political issue at all??
Because those people at .ORG are small minded waste of space never went anywhere in life and want to make sure they can keep as many people at the bottom with them as they can because they never had the smarts to think bigger and make something of themselves…
They are so ANTI-AMERICAN and ANTI capitalist it’s not even funny!!!
If the above is true, you would hurt the cause more than help it. Everything needs to be kept on a professional level, or you are not only wasting your time, you are going to hurt your own cause.
The website is a forum-type kinda like this and is a joke. It’s just a free-for-all-foodfight (like this one would be if there were no rules/enforcement!)…just a bunch of vigilantes with bad language and worse grammar.
If these signs are illegal, then they should not be there. Being in the sign business myself, I have to follow rules and regulations or the state will remove my signs and charge me for the removal.
Those little signs on the highways are not even effective, so why waste your money on illegal activities then get upset when someone removes them?
Bandits are NOT a permanent solution to advertising. They are intended to be short-term and regardless of what you believe that you have a right to do or not, many cities and areas ban the posting of those signs.
Can you still post your signs? SURE. But you have to be prepared for the consequences (without the whining) which includes removal and maybe even fines.
BUT, I will have to say to jasynder, if bandit signs didn’t work, no body, including RE investors, would use them. They work great, if they are handled correctly.
I’ve bought several properties from my bandit signs, so I can attest - very effective!. They do come up missing, but one deal pays for a lifetime of bandit signs.
The city code inspector recently called me and said he has about a dozen of my signs in the back of his truck, and told me about the hefty fine I will be paying if he “steals” any more.
I’ll take my chances. I suppose that’s why they call em “bandit” signs! ;D
I did ask if I could have my signs back, wanna guess what he said?
He was very nice about the whole thing, just doing his job.
The only places I have signs now are fixed to high traffic commercial buidings that I own, which the inspector told me the was the only way of doing it - per city code.
Guess I need to buy more buildings so I can hang more signs.
Another idea besides putting them on your own properties is to look for vacant or raw land in killer spots and call up the owner and ask if you can put them there. If he says ‘no’ make an offer to pay a fee each month. Or you could just do it without permission and see what happens.
If you want to avoid heat from the county/city… you probably should put the signs in wooded areas with high traffic… those wooded pockets in areas where no one looks like they would care that its there but still gets alot of cars coming by. And spread them out too… don’t put more than one in a 5 mile area or so.
Legal or illegal…you’ve got to wonder at the mentality of someone who’d take it upon themselves to remove someone else’s signs.
WHAT A CRUSADER! Reminds me of Goober from Mayberry RFD…“citizen’s ARRest…citizen’s ARRest!”
Can you see one of these weeners in an online dating chatroom? “So what do you do in your spare time?”“Me?..I’m a volunteer Sign Monitor…proud self-appointed member of the unofficial Sign Patrol.”
MAN! If this ain’t a sign you’ve got a serious need to get a life…I don’t know what is!
“Citizen’s ARRest…Citizen’s ARRest!”
Mr. Trouble never hangs around–when he hears this Mightly sound…“HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!” That means that Mighty Mouse is on his way. Yes Sir, when there is wrong to right–Mightly Mouse will join the fight. On the sea, or on the land, he gets the situation well in hand…“HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!”
