I recently was kicked over to a website discussing asset protection and ran into some VERY interesting information.
The website covered all topics from LLC’s to Trusts to Off-Shore bank accounts. The Bank accounts struck me as fairly odd as they wanted you to PAY THEM to set you up an untraceable account in Belize or somewhere along those lines. As I was clicking off I noticed a blurb about NEW MEXICO LLC’S they stated these LLC’s allowed the MOST PROTECTION AND ANONYMITY( sorry if spelled wrong).
Is this correct? Or was this just as shady as the off-shore accounts? I don’t plan on sending them money whether they’re correct or not, but it would be interesting to know exactly how much (if at all) more beneficial this LLC would be…
If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and looks like a duck, then by golly, it’s probably a duck.
This one is quacking “scam” in my opinion.

things that sound too good to be true usually are?
AN LLC does not provide the privacy and anonymimity you must have for true asset protection. An LLC is a fantastic entity stucture but not for privacy.
Offshore accounts are a tremendous way to protect your liquid assets if they are structured properly. things to think about when you select an offshore haven:
1- primary language
2- governing law
3- select an independent country, not one subject to a parent country
4- check the infrastructure of the offshore haven…ie…can you call your banker from a cell phone or prepaid phone card? faxes, email, etc…
5- political and economic stability
6- treaties between the US and the offshore haven. - you do NOT want to use any haven that has treaties with the US. it is too easy to breach your privacy
7- local customs & social environment…can it be reached easily/do you enjoy visiting the area
you can set up an untraceable account in many locations, but if you are an american citizen, you are obligated to report any income you make…onshore or offshore. the key is to have a way legally report your offshore income to the irs but remain anonymous and PRIVATE. it is done all of the time and is more common than the average person thinks!
you need to erase the “sounds to good to be true” attitude out of your mind. You will get nowhere in life with a negative attitude like that. Investigate and do your due dilligence. it will pay off.
ask yourself why Bill Gates has offshore accounts in more than 127 countries. is it still to good to be true??? or do you think he just doesn’t have the “sounds to good” attitude.
people who don’t understand how something works will typically say that it doesn’t work.
do your homework.
RedWing,
Excellent response and reinforcement.
