Changing our health care has been discussed for YEARS. Every President agreed that it needed fixing.
Now finally we get a President who’s able to pull it off, who gets a huge bill passed changing our health care. Our elected representatives VOTED AND PASSED THIS BILL. YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE to make your representative know your view.
Now, boy, are you whining, “What about the polls?!”
Well, what about the darn polls? I’ve had polling calls here at my house where the questions asked were so obviously slanted that I just hung up the phone. Who was interested in getting a “No” vote? Who was pushing all that that pre-vote polling?
Polls are just that–polls. We do not get legislation passed or rejected by polls.
Now you all need to just get over it and move on. Let’s see what happens as this legislation gets implemented. Our legislators worked on this for a year and they are not stupid people. Let’s give it a chance.
32 million Americans are sleeping better tonight. Make that 32 million and one, even though I do have health insurance. It was about time.

OK…forget the polls then. What about the town hall meetings??? The “constituents” were there telling (or sometimes yelling to) THEIR representatives that they did NOT want this bill. What about the closed door meetings (how’s that for transparency?)? What about the late night/weekend votes? What about the buyout of votes? If it was so great, then LA didn’t need hundreds of millions of dollars to support it.
Crap, if you’re going to run on the platform of having the “most transparent” administration, these aren’t things you do to support that.
Actually 42% were for the healthcare plan while 46% were against it. That means it is split down the middle. Half for half against.
All the polls ive seen had 55-65 americans strongly opposing, with around 25% supporting, and and around 20% undecided.
I wouldnt say Americans were “split”, deffinetly a larger portion did not want it.

Even CNN of all places came out with their poll Monday showing that 59% of Americans polled are against Obamacare. This wasn’t Fox News but CNN! People who support Obamacare can try and put lipstick on this pig, :bs it will still look like a pig with lipstick on it in the end. This is a dangerous bill that is now law. No words can change that and the American people in the majority knows that.

Like many, I don’t know what the bill that passed contained. But I do know that the original proposal had language resembling that within T4. That’s something to think about.
