The New Guy

Im interested in starting my own business rehabbing houses, Ive done the research and Im almost ready to throw my hat in, but like most people who need money I work full time and plus school, am i trying to bit of more than i can chew or what???

Yes.

It’s a real business even if you don’t do it fulltime, so you need to set up a plan, work out the financing, and dedicate a certain amount of time to it. It’s not impossible, but you should focus on learning, networking, potentially marketing yourself (newspaper ads, etc.), and assembling your team.

Along with Dee’s answer of “It’s a real business even if you don’t do it fulltime, so you need to set up a plan, work out the financing, and dedicate a certain amount of time to it. Do you know what your credit score is?

Do you have adequate financial backing (cash, partners, lines of credit, etc.)?

Keith is right!

I have had several “would be” clients that “put the cart before the horse” and made offers on properties before ensuring that they could find financing.

Take the time. Make the contacts. Set yourself up for success!
