I know that the law changed a couple a years ago, but I am ready to sell my house creative now. I have been warned by another to be careful in the lease option area, what is it, that I need to be careful of.Please advise on this grey area . Thanks ahead of time for your insight.
I’m not in TX, but I have an investor friend who does many lease options. When the law changed he sat down with his attorney and they went over everything. Some changes to his paperwork and agreements, and he is up and running as if nothing has changed regarding lease options. I suggest you contact a knowledgeable real estate attorney, and visit your local REIC and ask around.
The Austin REI clubs recently covered this. The Real Estate Networking Club covered the topic in last month’s meeting. REICA covered it in tonight’s meeting, but I had a board meeting, so missed it.
