Tennessee Tax Deed Facts

So I was doing some research and figured I’d share what I learned about Tennessee tax deeds here in case anyone was interested. There’s a 10% fee for the right of redemption, and sales are held at the county level via competitive bidding. County representatives play a large role at annual auctions, and owners have one year to contest or resolve penalties (although they still have to pay the 10% to you as an investor).

Has anyone here invested in Tennessee tax deeds?

The owner on the deed have up to one year. If you can prove the owner is dead you can take the property at that time.
