So many places online…success with any of them? Or are they just scams?

We use a small company out of central texas who provides a summary report to call on references, pull credit and criminal records and validate other informaiton recorded on our application. I think the message board rules prevent me giving a name, but they are out there. They turn it around in about 24-48 hours.
The information is solid, but I would prefer more detail. Nonetheless, we are able to make solid conclusions.
With out giving the name, I would recommend calling a large background search company and asking them if they can refer you to a smaller company who is better suited for smaller volume.

I use National Tenant Network (NTN) They will give me rental history, criminal background and credit report.
