Anyone know if a tenant lease survives a sale in Penna.? I am selling a triplex and the buyer wants this particular 2 bedroom unit empty for himself to live in. The tenants took possession 8/06 and lease is through 7/07. Buyer wants to close 1/07.
in most cases, the lease survives the sale. some states ( have heard) do have a provision that allow for lease termination if its going to be owner occupied.
the is really a question for your buyer to figure out. I would not make any statements one way or the other
