According to Darius Barazandeh, Texas is the Tax sales heaven. Anyone experience with his $119 book or anyone experience at all with this tax sale heaven?
Bought a couple of houses through HUD and others, but am curious to see if this will be my next step. Let me know.
Just to clarify, you mean Texas has a lot of good tax foreclosures on the courthouse steps, correct? We have a lot of foreclosures period. Lots of HUDs, REOs, pre-foreclosures, short sales, tax sales, etc.
There are some ok deals on the courthouse steps if you do your homework, but on the tax foreclosures, owners have a 6-month right of redemption. In Travis County (Austin area), the best tax deals are often on land because the improved lots are usually pulled before the auctions.
