Does anyone have any experience buying tax liens/certificates in Connecticut?? What would be my first step? Thanks in advance.
I don’t have personal experience in CT, but I have coached some students there. There are a couple of things that are different in CT. First, the sales are held on the municipal level, not by the county, so you have to contact the municipal tax collector for information about the tax sale. Secondly, CT is a mixed state, some of the towns sell tax deeds and some sell liens. If you want to invest in tax liens, contact the bigger cities, like Bridgeport. The smaller towns mostly sell deeds.
