Right on! I am in Philly. The sheriff sale is where tax deed sales take place - https://www.officeofphiladelphiasheriff.com/en/real-estate/how-sheriffs-sales-work/overview-of-the-sheriff-sale-process - from what I’ve heard, it’s much harder - at least at this sale - to buy good deals. But they are still out there. I would recommend connecting with someone who has / is doing it because there are additional rules that come along with buying houses at these sales that can make things complicated. Philly’s sale is in person.
