Hello I’m new to the forum. Looking forward to learning a lot from knowledgeable members. I live in PA and currently researching possibly acquiring a tax deed property. I usually scour the internet for information and read relevant books on topics I’m trying to research and learn. But nothing beats info from people who have been there and done that.
I do have one question to start out that I can’t seem to find much info on the internet about.
Has anyone bought properties from a county’s tax deed repository list? I’m talking about the left overs from judicial sales. It looks like properties in these repository lists usually are worthless or are not worth the trouble compared to possible returns (eg. landlocked, too small a parcel, cumulative owed taxes are way too high). I understand that value is in the eye of the investor and that every once in a while a property with specific potential could turn up.
Has anyone dabbled in tax repository list properties? Any opinions or feedback to impart? Should I even bother with repository lists or should I turn my attention into competing at judicial sale auctions? I know these are very broad questions but looking forward to any info that forum members may offer.
Thanks a lot.
