All you guys who are just starting out and are wondering about the boot camps and the seminars, I have a suggestion for you:
Study real estate for a bit before you buy an expensive program. Read here. Get a couple of books. Maybe check some other investor type websites. Join your local real estate association and keep your ears open.
Get yourself enough information so that you have enough knowledge to evaluate what the gurus are offering.
Maybe their program is just what you need, but my point is that it is a heck of a lot of money to spend on something when you don’t know whether or not it is useful for your situation.
Before you buy a car, I assume that you do a little research. You know enough that you at least know when the salesman tries to tell you that the little toyota will pull a 38 foot travel trailer, he isn’t being straight with you.
Before you buy a program that costs as much as a new car, at least have enough knowledge to be able to tell if their promises are feasible and that the program is dealing with an area of real estate that interests you.
The basics of real estate aren’t hard to understand and it is pretty easy to pick up some basic knowledge.
If a real estate program is straight and is realy offering anything of value, they won’t mind if you investigate and think about it. If they are really going to teach you the tricks of the trade that will set you on the path you want, well then… knowledge is worth a lot of money.
Just do enoough research to be certain that they are offering knowledge that will be useful to you.
