Sub 2 in Tennessee

Land Trusts don’t stop liens from attaching to property in TN can anyone tell me the way to do this without land trusts?

Thanks

What are you trying to do? be more specific. If it’s what it sounds like to me, you or your buyer has a lien that you don’t want to attatch to the property?

Lien is in the investor or client’s name?

put the property in someone else’s name or your entity’s name. in the entity’s name won’t completely stop a lien (usually) but it will be a lot harder to find the property

or pay the lien off prior to taking title. there are a lot of ways to get this done. what are the particulars in your situation?

its the existing mortgage in the sellers name. Tennessee’s (Illinois) type land trust allows judgments and liens to stay with the property from my knowledge.

If I put it in my name won’t that trigger the DOSC?

again, what are you trying to do. give the details.
