STRAIGHT TALK!!

O’kay, I have posted one other post on this topic without much response. That is starting to worry me since most of what I have read is legal mumbo jumbo that is very hard to interprit. I live in Texas and I am very interested in going to Delinquent property tax auctions. Can someone please give me a straight forward rundown on how these work and if there is money to be made or not. It sounds like a no-brainer, but I am afraid I might be missing something. I know that alot of these propertys are in very bad shape, but I am a carpenter by trade so all labor will be performed by me.

You will need to search thru the internet for you questions, i’m in a mortgage state florida. If you want to buy houses for property taxes only, then research and do your due diligenence. Before John beck went informercial crazy, he had some very good books out there. You may find some of your answers on ebay as well for buying at the auctions. Best thing to do is go to the courthouse and ask questions. If you know the county has a website, research there as well. I believe, and dont quote me not being an attorney… if the home is not agricultural you can get it faster if its residential. Not sure why, you might want to listen to audios here on the rei website. There is a lawyer that specializes in texas. review his info.
hope this helps.
