Steel arch buildings - OK for commercial applications?

If you guys have ever driven through Kansas, you’ll see tons of steel arch buildings (quonset hut style buildings, and hybrids which look more like normal steel buildings - see http://www.americandurospan.com ) which are used like crazy for agricultural purposes.

But would these buildings work OK for commercial purposes?

E.G. Auto shop? Storage? Small warehouse? Etc

I don’t see many in the warehouse / industrial / light industrial districts of D/FW, though I do see a quonset huts (the real deal from say post WWII), but they are not common.
