Starting out....again!

Hey guys,

Well, it’s been a while since I frequented these forums, I’ve been reading a few days and you guys have already helped motivate me even more. I’m 31, when I was 24 I did my first rehab job here in atl, and a couple after that, I was making 8 dollars an hr so I thought I was rich and set for life! Unfortunately it was 2008 and the good times came to end as quick as they started. But I was young and dumb, hopefully I will have a better run at it this time. The reason for this post is I would like to find somebody in Atlanta who is starting out as well, perhaps we could talk some time about our goals, or deals, or whatever. When you are passionate about this business it’s hard to talk to your friends if they don’t wanna talk about real estate! Would just like to find somebody like minded to talk to occasionally. I don’t have a bunch of money to help,“you” do a deal, nor am I looking for somebody with money to help me do a deal. Just someone to bounce ideas off. Or if there are any more established investors in Atlanta who could use a hand with any odd tasks, research, etc I’d love to help out to get associated with the right people again.
Thanks to everybody who posts info on this site!

Luke,

We wish you the best of success in your ventures. There are several REI Clubs in the Atlanta area where you would be able to get some first hand direction. Maybe even begin with some “bird dogging” for the more seasoned investors so that you can get a feel for the market and still get paid. It also allows you to “learn on the job”. Your local clubs can be found here:

Thanks mdaas, I will definitely check that that out

hey luke i know im late on this post but she should look into wholesaling… it will help you build up some money quickly and give you a feel of whats going on in the market as of late… so whilke your wholesaling making good money you’ll probably run across a house or two that you already have for cheap under contract and decide to rehab it and boom your back in the game and not just talking about getting back in the game :beerover the phone with a friend…
