South Carolina Lease Option

I have a possible lease option deal in SC. I know Texas has some crazy laws regarding sub-leasing. I heard one of the Carolinas are moving down the same path. Can anyone verify which one it is or if it is either?

North Carolina has added a few wrinkles to doing lease options, but nothing that isn’t easily addressed with the correct agreements. To my knowledge, South Carolina has not followed suit.

Thanks AJ290. Looks like distance might kill this deal but we’ll see.

Long distance deals are, in fact, viable…they do require a bit more due diligence but can be done…I’ve done so in many states over the past 25 years and for the most part, has worked out well.

I believe the key is to buy at the right price and have a local person in the area of the property who is reliable, to be on sight for showing and managing the property.

Personally, I’ve acquired and/or flipped commercial and residential in many states with success.

Hope this helps.
