HEY EVERYONE… I HAD POSTED A FEW QUESTIONS HERE AND THERE ABOUT A FEW POTENTIAL DEALS AND THERES BEEN NO SUCCESS AS OF YET AND I FEEL OVERWHEALMED WITH CONFUSION. I HAVE TAKEN CLASSES FOR A REALTORS LICENSE SO I KNOW QUITE A BIT OF INFO ABOUT REAL ESTATE, BUT THE INVESTING SIDE IS MUCH MORE COMPLICATED IT SEEMS. ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS AS OF HOW TO START, ANY GOOD BOOKS THAT ARE WORTH WHILE TO READ? ANYTHING???
P.S. I LOVE THIS SITE AS I HAVE LEARNED FROM IT AND IT IS VERY HELPFUL
Immerse yourself in REI. Read books. Robert Allen, Bronchick, Conti and Finkel, Robert Shemin, etc… Once you are armed with some knowledge and know the good and bad of the different REI vehicles, choose to continue with overall knowledge or choose to specialize. Find a mentor who teaches what you would like to learn (overall or Sub2’s, lease options, rehabs, wholesaling, quick flips, commercial, etc…). Learn something new every day and commit yourself to at least one hour of reading, going to your local REI club, or talking with folks about REI through the various forums every single day. Learn marketing.
Anyone out there ever heard of John Alexander? I came across his web site about the inverse purchase program… Any thoughts on his material?
