Sifting a leads list

I just went to ListSource to prepare for my next mailing campaign.

I selected the 7 closest counties as my farm, and the only other option I put was absentee owner (in-state and out-of-state) and I did not exclude corporate owned (any reason why I should?)

I didn’t filter through any of the specifics of the house itself such as square footage, age of home, etc. I am just getting started and I think I was told one time that I can’t afford to be picky like that.

I wound up with 516,575 leads for $80,007.14. Does this sound about right? This comes to $0.15/lead, which sounds a little pricey. I was expecting more like $0.03/lead.

Obviously I will have to buy a partial list.
