My girlfriend and I are planning on buying real estate for rental income and I want to know if we should get incorperated. What are the advantages and should we get an attorney or do it ourselves? Thanks!

Incorporation can protect you from your gf’ bad acts in the name of the business. Contrary to what you will hear, there is no entity that will protect you from your own bad acts. If you cause an injury, you are personally responsible whether you are acting on behalf of the company or not.
