I am an attorney and I currently am partners in a title insurance agency. I have clients who want me to start handling short sale mitigation and processing and I was hoping I could get some help finding some software to manage the process. Does anyone have any recommendations for a system or where I could find it? Thanks a lot in advance
We use Short Sale Commander and it works great. You can see a demo on their website. After searching amongst everyone, they have the cheapest price. Hope this helps!! :biggrin
KMJ44, are you a user or an employee of the software company?
I did a little research and I noticed the name Kristina Jones on FB and Activerain… seems like too much of a coincidence…
I don’t know if it’s good software, I’ll have to give the demo a try, I just don’t appreciate people posting with an alterior motive… but hey, I could be wrong.
I’m hesitant to commit to any software that charges a recurring monthly fee, until I know very clearly what I need it to do. So, to start out, here’s what I’m doing. I’ve created a spreadsheet to visually manage my data. It’s easy to add new fields as I need them, and to highlight with a background the status of each SS file.
Once this is populated the way I need it, then, with a few clicks of the mouse button, I will convert this to an MS Access Database. From there, it’s just a few steps to put it up on a server with a MySQL database backend engine, or maybe MS-SQL.
But, I like to have control and maybe I should sacrifice control and just hand over $49/month, or $97? for RealeFlow software, which I believe may be the Cadillac version of what you’re looking for.
It’s smart to look for software, IMO, yet one can quickly become a servant to technology, instead of the other way around. I may just try their 14-day trial, however, just to see if I can teach it to negotiate with Bankers! :^)

I’ll be a little more forthright and just state outright that I own a software company - Short Sale Artisan. :biggrin The vast majority of our clients are real estate agents and investors but we are working on some title-company specific features, which we hope to release towards the summer. We also have demo videos on our site (http://www.shortsaleartisan.com).
Everyone has their own way of doing things, for some a spreadsheet is perfect
