short sale comps

Can someone please tell me the best and/or easiest way to get cash sales, quit-claim sales, etc. to use as short sale comps? Do I need a realtor or is there somewhere online I can find them? Thanks so much!!

I have access to my local msl so I mostly use that for comps. Many larger cities(Chicago&Phoenix, my homes) also list the sales in the Sunday newspaper. Their websites also will carry these sales.

I’m working on getting access to the mls…I will check our newspaper again…I’m in Houston…thanks for your help.

Try http://www.voxproperty.com/cgi-bin/index.pl for Houston sales. They’ve got sales data on a subdivision-by-subdivision basis. More useful than HAR IMO.
