Sherriff auction cancellation

There is a house I’ve been looking at for a month. It was scheduled for auction on 7/9. The day of the auction, this home has “cancellation” next to it on the county website. On top of that, the listing was to expire on 7/8. Well, the home is back on the MLS listed at the same price as before.

What happened? Did the buyer come up with the money owed that cancelled the sherrif auction, or what else could have possibly happened?

I’ve had that happen, too. It can be for any number of reasons or non-reasons. It took me a year from the original auction date to finally get one property via Sheriff auction. I’ve not experienced a tax lien being put back on MLS so I can’t address that aspect.
