For now I’m in the building phase setting the business up as a jobber (a.k.a. bird dog
I’m also interested in building a jobber business also. What are some of the things you are doing to start it? :o
Wlmington,
The first thing I did was purchase the jobber 101 course by B. Grimes here on the site. I’m still reading through the material… which I have found to be very interesting… educational & inspiring. I have been taking down contact numbers of bandit signs & bill boards & also I am searching through local news paper real estate sections for “We buy houses” advertisements. This is one of the ways to build your investor contacts. It’s important to have your investor contacts before you start searching for properties to refer. Contact these investors and find out what type of properties they are interested in. Another thing you will want to do is drive around your farm area in search of distressed &/or abandoned properties and record the address’s so you can go to your county court house to inquire who owns the properties so you can send out contact letters/post cards. Also search for FSBO signs in your farm area as well. Another thing I recommend is creating a master mind team to network with. Consult with your master mind team regularly to come up with creative ways to enhance your business ventures.
These are just a few tips…
