Does anybody know off hand if a bedroom doesn’t have a closet does Section 8 still count it as a bedroom? I’m looking at a duplex now that has 2 bedrooms per unit but neither have a closet.

It may depend on the section 8 inspections in your area, but I’ve been told that a stand alone wardrobe chest can be considered a closet. Look up the office in your area and give them a call. I’m sure they can quickly answer your question.
Or just get some sheetrock, some 2x4’s, a door and make a little closet.
As for calling them up, they can answer your question, but I have a hard time getting through to section 8 around here. They’ll usually return your call after a day or two if you ever get called back.
