Just starting in the Texas market doing rehab for resale. I currently have offers out on properties in Austin, Fredericksburg, and San Antonio. I would appreciate any input on the best places to locate subs, day help, etc. or, specific recommendations of people you have worked with in any of these areas. My biggest needs are drywall, painting, HVAC, and of course, plumbing. Also, best places for building materials and finishing materials. I’ve used Lowes and Home Depot in other areas for small quantities of lumber, tile, carpet, plumbing fixtures, etc., but I’m wondering if there are better places in Austin and San Antonio for contractor supply. Would also appreciate any leads on wholesale landscaping plants and material.

there is a company called Lifestyles Unlimited (lifestylesunlimited.com) that is a mentoring group that has an office in the Austin/San Antonio area, they have a ‘starter kit’ you can get for free from there website that includes a vendor list.
I’m not sure how many vendors they have in San Antonio, I’m a member in Dallas, and the vendor list is a good starting point to find subs
