Roofing in Detroit

With the roofs in the Detroit Michigan, do they need replacing often?
I have heard something about Lake Erie and the heavy fog, is this right?

Thanks

Depends on how many bullet holes are in the roof?

I am sorry for about that comment. Usually it goes by how well the roof is built and if it is a flat roof or a peaked roof. Peaked shingled roofs last longer than flat tar roofs, in my opinion. And are cheaper to have replaced.

Don`t you have corrugated steel roofing over there?
If it was set at the right pitch all bullets would ricochet straight off it.
Works here!
Also has great thermal qualities with a layer of builders blanket under it.

We have bullets here that can go through steel. Have you been to detroit yet? If not, get a bullet proof vest.

No Dan I havent been over there yet, but I will for a final inspection. The area Im investing in, or planning to, is off Gratiot Ave near the airport east of Hamtramck.
Should I pack my SLR to walk around here?
