Does anyone know of any books or courses on Rezoning and Upzoning land/buildings ? Be it for commercial or residential.
Um anything? maybe some tips, maybe some resources?
I don’t know of any but, I haven’t looked either. I would recommend that you talk to your local zoning officials and talk to them about the specifics for your location or proposed location. I would also look into a variance instead of rezoning because, it will be much easier to do typically.

There are no books because the process is different for every locality. Take your idea to a zoning attorney that regularly meets before the local board, knows the local politicians, and works with community leaders. This is a political process, not legal. He will tell you whether what you want to do is possible for not. Be prepared to make contributions to political campaigns and keep your mouth shut about any controversial issues.
