Hi, Im a new investor and i was wondering what tactics you use to research up or downmarkets or a burst coming in your area?
Anyone?
Here are just a few sources:
- MLS statistics, research from NAR, commercial market trends.
- Watch new home builder trends and related industries.
- Newspapers (online and off). Read about political issues, business news, and money market trends.
- MotleyFool.com, Kiplinger, Texas A&M RECON, Austin Business Journal (available for most cities), RealtyTimes.com etc.
There are many different places to go for information, depending on your specialty. You may want to set aside an hour per day reading about industry news and trends. Most of the real estate investors and brokers that I know love the industry, so stay updated every day.
